It’s been a long wet, hot summer and the battle rages on!
The second badge of Grown Up Summer Camp is the Weed it and Reap Badge.
How do you know if you have earned this badge well :
1) This is goes out to all the gardeners, lawn manicurists and weekend weeding warriors. The every day average humans who have devoted (out of love or spite) countless hot and sweaty hours fighting nature to keep their patch of earth looking like Longwood Gardens. Shovels, rakes, spray or tweezers, no weed shall pass into your lawn! You are the Weed Reaper and this is your domain. Dandelions beware!
2) This goes out to all the parents of small children who are just trying to keep their house from being “that guy” on the street because let’s be honest…”Ain’t nobody got time for dat.” Lawn work can only really get done while your kids are napping and thats your do everything else time or sit for five minutes time or drink some wine time? Either way, you are rocking it and those weed will die in the winter anyway right?! If anyone says anything you can go all Mackemore on them!
3) This also goes out to all the parents of older kids who have strategically “paid” their children to do this work. Delegation is key and those kids will earn a thing or two about proper lawn maintenance!
